What these communities are
The Rymeda Community is a set of peer-support spaces where members share experiences, ask questions, and support one another around health. They are a place to feel less alone, to learn from people who have been through something similar, and to organize better questions for your own care team.
They are not a source of medical advice. What you read here comes from other people sharing their own stories. It is not reviewed, verified, or endorsed by Rymeda, and it is not a substitute for talking to a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult a real provider about your own health. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. See our safety information for crisis resources.
Who can participate
You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if it is higher) and have a Rymeda account to take part in the Community. By joining a community you agree to these Guidelines and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Some communities have additional rules that you will be asked to read and accept when you join.
Be respectful
The Community works because people feel safe being honest. Keep it that way.
- Treat others with kindness. No harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks.
- No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
- Disagree without being cruel. Assume good faith, and remember there is a real person on the other side.
Keep it safe and honest
You may not post:
- Dangerous or false health information that could cause harm. For example, telling people to stop taking a prescribed medication, promoting fake cures, or presenting dosing instructions as medical direction.
- Content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide. When we see signs that someone is in crisis we may surface crisis resources instead.
- Medical advice presented as professional direction to a specific person, unless you are that person's licensed provider acting within your scope of practice.
- Impersonation of a doctor, nurse, Rymeda staff member, or another person, or false claims about your credentials.
Protect privacy
- Do not share other people's private or health information without their permission.
- Think before you share your own sensitive health details. Communities may be visible to other members, and what you post can be hard to fully take back. Our safety information has tips for sharing carefully.
- Do not post anyone's contact details, location, or images without their consent.
No spam, selling, or solicitation
- No spam, repetitive posting, or off-topic promotion.
- No advertising, selling, or soliciting, including unapproved health products, supplements, treatments, or services. Verified vendors sell only through the official marketplace under the applicable seller terms.
- No links to malware, scams, or illegal content.
Nothing illegal
Do not post content that is illegal or that helps others break the law. This includes the sale or promotion of prescription drugs, controlled substances, or other regulated goods.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post. By sharing it you grant Rymeda a license to display and distribute it within the Rymeda product, as described in our Terms of Service. You are responsible for your own content, and you confirm that you have the right to share it.
Moderation and enforcement
Community roles (members, providers, moderators, and admins or owners) all help keep spaces healthy. Rymeda and authorized moderators may, at their discretion, remove content, lock threads, or cancel events that violate these Guidelines, issue warnings, and suspend or remove members for repeated or serious violations.
We aim to be fair and consistent, but we may act immediately when a member's safety is at risk. We are not obligated to host any particular piece of content. For more detail on how this works, see our Moderation Standards.
Reporting
If you see content that breaks these rules, use the in-app Report option or email community@rymeda.com. Reports may be reviewed by our team or by community moderators; we do not act on every report. If you believe content infringes your copyright, email legal@rymeda.com.
Changes
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. When we make a material change we will post it in the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. You may be asked to re-accept the Guidelines before continuing to take part.
