Founding Product Designer
At Rymeda, design is how trust feels. People arrive at health products already carrying worry, and your job is to make the experience calm, clear, and safe. This is a strategically central founding role: you will own the Rymeda experience end to end and define how an entire category feels.
What you will own
- Product design across identity and the Rymeda Medical Card, the Care Portal, ORIS, Community, and Pulse: the surfaces people use every day.
- The design language and the brand feel: calm, trustworthy, intelligent, human, and modern, and never loud, clinical, or sales-driven.
- Turning genuinely complex healthcare into something simple, because simplicity is hard and is achieved by removing complexity before adding it.
You might be right if you
- Have designed and shipped real products end to end, with craft you are proud of and can show.
- Make people feel understood, informed, in control, and safe, the four feelings Rymeda designs for.
- Remove complexity before adding it and treat polish as a trust signal, not decoration.
- Want to own the whole experience of a category-defining product, not decorate someone else's plan.
Your first few months
Own the design of a core surface end to end, establish the patterns and the design system the product will grow on, and set the standard for a calm, high-craft experience.
The honest version of the deal
We are early and bootstrapped. At this stage we are not paying market salary. We offer meaningful equity and genuine co-ownership to the small number of people who build the foundation, and we plan to build the team first, then raise capital. Early decisions in a compounding infrastructure company have a long half-life, so early builders own a real part of what they build. You would join before the comfortable proof points exist. If that is a reason to join, we should talk. Full-time is welcome; for some roles, advisory or fractional to start is also welcome.
How you will grow
Every role runs on Rymeda's career architecture: three equal tracks (IC-Specialist, Builder, and Management), a numeric level that reflects demonstrated scope, and pay and influence that reach the top of the company without requiring a management title. Founding hires are co-owners and set the bar for everyone who follows.
